4 Unexpectedly Delightful Summer Drink Pairings

When you think of pairing your favorite Soft-Baked Biscotti or cookies with a beverage, you probably think of hot ones, right? But who says you can’t enjoy them with cold drinks on a hot summer day, too? Here are some of our favorite warm weather beverage pairings - let us know what you like and send us your favorites, too!

Peach-Ginger Iced Tea

Peaches are a seasonal fruit, a summer fruit. Intermingled with peppery ginger and iced tea, you can make the perfect refreshment for a hot summer day, and the perfect fruity balance to anything with chocolate. Simply mash some peach halves with some juice, add some sugar and grated ginger in a pitcher along with ice and cold English breakfast tea and voila! Pair it with our Original Biscotti for a subtly sweet dessert, or with our Sweet Heat Cookies for a pleasantly spicy one. Try the adult version.

A Fresh Take on a Diner Classic

Cold, creamy, and sweet -- milkshakes have been a summer classic for decades. Making milkshakes is a piece of cake; just blend ice cream and milk to your own desired consistency. Vanilla milkshakes would pair perfectly with our Original, Coffee Cake, and Chocolate Chip Brownie Biscotti. Chocolate Milkshakes would pair perfectly with our GF Banana Bread Biscotti. The flavor possibilities are limitless. Or try this adult version.

Burnt Orange Negroni

Sorry kids, this one is for adults only! The harmonious marriage of chocolate and orange here creates the perfect flavor pairing. This twist on the classic Italian Negroni would go perfectly with our Chocolate Chip Brownie Biscotti, balancing out the richness of the chocolate with a smoky and tangy drink. Perfect for a relaxing summer evening. See how it’s done here.

Sparkling Apple Cider

Martinelli’s (our preferred brand) is a classic at every event, but it is also a wonderful pairing with our Brown Sugar Coffee Cake Biscotti. Non-alcoholic, bubbly, crisp and fresh - the ideal refresher for a midday biscotti snack break. You can even make your own.
